Subscription & Auto-renewal Terms

Shiksha Bharat is free to start. Shiksha Bharat Plus is an optional plan that unlocks every animation and every chapter in every class. It is an auto-renewing subscription: once you start it, it renews and charges you automatically until you stop it.
Plus is not on sale yet. These terms describe how it will work when it launches; everything you can open in the app today stays free.

The price of each plan is shown on the Plus screen before you pay, together with the renewal period. Plus belongs to your account, so it works on every phone you sign in on.
Where you can buy Plus
On the Android app and on the website, through Razorpay. Plus is not sold inside the iPhone app.
How auto-pay works
- When you subscribe, you set up a recurring payment (an auto-pay mandate) with Razorpay using a supported method such as UPI AutoPay or a card. Your payment details are handled by Razorpay and never reach us.
- The first charge is taken when the subscription starts. Plus unlocks as soon as the payment is confirmed.
- Each renewal is charged automatically to the same mandate at the start of the next period.
- Razorpay emails a receipt for every charge, and your payment history is in the app under Profile → Plus.
Renewals and reminders
Before each renewal charge you will receive a pre-debit notification, as Indian payment rules for recurring payments require. You can manage or cancel the mandate itself in your UPI app or with your card issuer as well as in Shiksha Bharat.
If a renewal payment fails
Razorpay retries a failed renewal. While it retries, Plus stays active for a short grace period (currently 3 days). If the payment still fails, Plus ends and your account returns to the free plan; your progress and notes are kept.
Stopping renewal
- In the app: Profile → Plus → Stop renewing. You can do this at any time.
- Plus stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Prices and price changes
If we change the price of a plan, a subscription you have already started keeps the price you signed up at. A new price applies only to subscriptions started after the change. Prices are shown in Indian rupees, and the Plus screen states whether they include GST.
Learners under 18
If the account holder is under 18, a parent or guardian must confirm on the Plus screen that they are the one paying before the subscription can start.
